There is no empirical evidence to suggest that Keynesian economics works. If anything the 70s Stagflation problem in USA should've buried it once and for all because according to Keynesianism both things, inflation and recession, can never happen together. Despite that it continues as mainstream economics teaching. It shows whole profession is politicized by the state and real economics is sidetracked for their own benefit. It is never about fact finding. It is pure propaganda. I am in academia and I know it is religion. Keynes is their God literally. You can't question him.

I remember Sudha Shenoy, daughter of B R Shenoy, once said, all the economics department around the world could be safely shutdown without doing any damage to anyone! I go one step ahead and say, they can be shutdown to stop the damage they have and are already doing to our economies and societies. These economists have no idea how an economy works.

Dr. Madhusudan, is there any empirical evidence to suggest that Keynesian Economics works? It seems that the doctrine of 'Animal Spirit' is propagated with great zealotry among new age Economists. Why do we consider the economy as an engine, something that can be fixed by the stroke of mechanical application of centralized schemes? If there is no evidence then are Ivy-League college Economists are useless?
