Wouldn't be surprised if that Mittal guy is just another crony capitalist. He wants tariffs raised because he doesn't like competition. I heard from one of my friends that before jio could come in, yearly internet package of airtel was 5000 rupees. Jio literally reduced the price of internet. I can get my internet package from jio for less than half the price. Now airtel and other ISPs had to reduce their prices because of jio. Probably the only difference between jio and airtel is signal coverage. Airtel seems to have better signal coverage than jio (I might be wrong because I've never used airtel, but my friends say so) The last thing that guy wants is competition from foreign ISPs.
